Pine Needle
Grown mainly in the Northern Hemisphere, there are over 100 species of pine trees to appreciate. These trees are considered evergreens because they remain strikingly green for more than one season! Once the pine needles fall off their branches, vibrant new needles promptly occupy the tree. One of the pine tree's classic symbols, the pine cone, produces both male and female variants that work together to make and pollinate their seeds.
